Unlike most schools, we do not send our students off to general career coaches. Because designers are best coached by design industry veterans, in every aspect. That’s why we only hire instructors who also excel at career coaching, in addition to teaching.

Always failing the whiteboard challenge? The last step of the job search process is of course, landing that dream design job that pays well! Most of our students secure design jobs within 6-8 months after graduation - some even before graduation! We follow up with our students even when they are in their new career to be their cheer leaders and foster a sense of community among creatives who believe in making a great living doing what they love.

FAQs
Do I get career services if I'm an on-demand student?
On-demand students pay a small monthly fee to study at their own pace, which does not include Portfolio School coaching access or career services. However, they can upgrade to either School of Design or Portfolio School at any point (we will calculate the difference in tuition depending on your progress and let you know), and receive career services.
Do I get career services if I am a short course student?
Short course students do not get career services due to the much cheaper price of their courses. However, they may book on-demand sessions for additional fees with their instructors after completing the short course.
Who are your career coaches?
We do not work with general career coaches because they lack specialized industry knowledge to provide truly effective coaching. Our instructors are our career coaches because they are hired not only for their design expertise but their ability to provide quality career coaching as well.
What is your on-demand career coaching fee?
We charge a simple flat fee of $80 per 1-hour session.
Can I just get career coaching without enrolling in your courses?
You normally cannot receive career coaching with us without enrolling in any of our courses, however, if you have one-off or ongoing needs, you should schedule a free call with us to discuss and we will figure out if we can help you.
