Your Design Career Aptitude

Based on your answers, we think that design is probably not the best career for you. We understand this may be disappointing to hear but don’t worry, we have recommendations for you, so read on. Also, you don’t have to take us too seriously if you are determined to make it work. If there is a will, there is a way.

Why Design May Not Be For You

It’s not a great fit for everyone but we have recommendations

1

It seems that creativity hasn’t been one of your strong suits.

2

Design is rarely an isolated job. Team work and communication skills are just as important as your design craft. If they don’t appeal to you, you could probably consider careers that require less of it.

3

If business and product thinking isn’t your passion, design is probably not the best fit because it requires business knowledge to solve problems, even for a designer.

Recommended Action Plan

1

Re-examine if design is your true passion. Just because we said it may not be the right fit at this moment doesn’t mean you can’t make it the right fit, if you are willing to make some changes in how you view and approach the various aspects required for a successful design career.

2

When you are ready, if design still feels like your jam, it’s time to take it seriously! When there is a will, there is a way. Add expert guidance and a whole ton of accountability through a structured program, you can make it work!
